Code Confusion in Chapter 10 – Figures and Code 10.6 and 10.7
April 14th, 2009 by Derrick Ypenburg
Thanks to Joshua Petro for his feedback on the book. The easiest way to get past the code typo in the book is to open the source file from the Chapter 10 source file download. Joshua explains the rest in his post below:
“I just had a question about one of the examples in the book. It was a
little frustrating until I got the source files from this site. (still a
typo in the book though,….fig. 10.6 does not match code 10.7) also, fig.
10.6 does not match the published file from this website. I understand the
example that you are showing the formatter can be used for a number of text
field objects, but this was confusing because of fig. 10.6. Great book
though,…yes worth every penny.”
Cheers,
Derrick
