About Bethany Lee

Bethany brings excellent project management skills to the table, both in corporate and independent settings. As an owner and Lead Project Manager at Focus on Media, you will soon notice her attention to detail, enthusiasm for interdisciplinary communications, and ability to coordinate your project completely.
Prior to joining Focus on Media, Bethany was employed by the Greater Toronto Airports Authority (GTAA), overseeing all publications and communications for Canada’s largest and busiest airport – Toronto Pearson International. At the GTAA, Bethany played an integral role in creating the branding program for the airport. This included all aspects for the new Terminal 1, consulting with and directing internal and external parties to maintain corporate identity. As well, she oversaw all publications and supervised communications staff. Bethany was also an integral part of image building for the authority through participation in public, media and community events.
Before joining the GTAA, Bethany was an editor for Canada’s largest family of technology magazines. There, she became an expert in coordinating writers, deadlines, advertising and production schedules. Her writing has been published internationally.
Prior to this, Bethany had a unique opportunity to work with Humber College School of Business and APEC (Asia Pacific Economic Organization) on the 1997 summit on Lifelong Learning, where she co-authored the paper The Expanding Business of Lifelong Learning, was an editor on the book Lifelong Learning, and spoke on the subject in Taipei, Taiwan. A strong proponent of lifelong learning, Bethany has also had speaking engagements at Wilfred Laurier University and teaches continuing education and journalism courses at Humber College in Toronto, Ontario in writing, editing and blogging techniques.
Bethany holds a BA in Sociology from the University of Guelph, an Honours post-graduate degree in Journalism from Humber College, as well as a Graphic Design Certificate.
